Jo’s DIY deodorant

We challenged our colleague Johanne, responsible for the production of our deodorant refills, to create a homemade deodorant recipe without receiving any hints. The results are very successful, and we are delighted to share this exclusive formula with you that will allow you to take care of yourself in a natural and personalized way.

Johanne cleverly combined simple ingredients to create an effective and pleasant homemade deodorant. Here is the detailed recipe:

Ingredients

Fats:

  • 4 tablespoons cocoa butter
  • 4 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 4 tablespoons sunflower wax
Powders:
  • 4 tablespoons baking soda (for odor absorption)
  • 2 tablespoons arrowroot (for moisture absorption)
Oils:
  • 5 drops of vitamin E (for antioxidant properties and hydration)
  • 10-12 drops of essential oils (for fragrance)

Instructions

  1. Melt the fats:
In a double boiler, melt cocoa butter, sunflower oil, and sunflower wax until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  2. Add the powders:
Incorporate baking soda and arrowroot into the melted mixture. Mix carefully to ensure even distribution.
  3. Add the oils:
Integrate vitamin E and essential oils into the preparation. These ingredients not only provide skin benefits but also a delightful fragrance to your deodorant.
  4. Storage:
Pour into our KIIMA DIY deodorant mold. Let it cool and harden at room temperature or in the refrigerator.

There you have it, you've just created your own homemade deodorant, all thanks to the challenge taken on by our talented colleague Johanne. In addition to being a natural alternative to commercial deodorants, this recipe allows you to customize your olfactory experience while taking care of your skin. Try it today!
